With the season marching swiftly to a close, this weekend presents high-stakes clashes around the Motsepe Foundations Championship in the second last round of fixtures.

All eight fixtures will take place simultaneously this Sunday.

Kick-off is at 3pm.

There is much to play for as the title is still on the line and the relegation battle heats up.

Durban City could clinch automatic promotion to the Betway Premiership and be crowned league champions if they win against Black Leopards at Chatsworth Stadium. However, their fate is not entirely in their hands, as Orbit College could take the title race to the final day if they win their clash against JDR Stars at Shoshanguve Giant Stadium.

Orbit College, who are three points behind first place, will need to build on their five game unbeaten streak if they are to keep their title hopes alive.

In mid-table clashes this weekend, Baroka will host Pretoria Callies at the Global Stadium, while Highbury take on Kruger United at Gelvandale Stadium.

Cape Town Spurs will look to bounce back from their first defeat in seven games and escape the relegation zone when they tackle Hungry Lions, who are only three points ahead of them, at the Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium.

Bottom-of-the-log Leruma United are not yet doomed to relegation, and could save their NFD status in their last two games, but will need to beat sixth place Milford at the Luca Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in order to do so.

Upington City, who are level with Spurs on both points and goal difference, will also aim to distance themselves from the relegation zone by ending the University of Pretoria’s three game unbeaten run when they face each other at Tuks Stadium. Venda, who are also tied on points with Upington and Spurs, will also be seeking safety when they take on third-place Casric Stars at the Thohoyandou Stadium.
