Zarco first home winner of French MotoGP since 1954

Johann Zarco produced an outstanding ride in difficult conditions at Le Mans on Sunday to become the first home winner of the French MotoGP in 71 years.

In front of the biggest ever attendance at a MotoGP event, the 34-year-old Honda rider came home ahead of six-time world champion Marc Marquez (Ducati) and Fermin Aldeguer (Ducati-Gresini).
